Quality Inspector 2 - 3rd Shift

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

·       Experience performing manufacturing or product inspections using blueprints and specifications.

·       Experience performing measurements with precision measurement tools, such as micrometers and calipers.

·       Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.

·       The ability to utilize computer systems including input of data and retrieval of information for inspections and configuration purposes.

·       The ability to review documents and to identify and resolve any errors or missing information.

·       Ability to use operating software including SAP

·       2+ years in an Aerospace or similar inspection role

• 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11PM-7:30AM

·       Inspection of Ship Loose Kits and kitting of parts

·       Perform detailed product inspections on in process and finished goods, including but not limited to First Article Inspections.         

·       Document characteristics of products accurately and with technical detail.          

·       Initiate Quality Notifications for any non-conforming products.

·       Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to the inspection of hardware and to document reviews.

·       Identify any potential quality issues early and help to prevent their occurrence.

·       Communicate effectively to other Collins Aerospace personnel any quality issues needing resolution.

·       Monitor and utilize calibrated measuring instruments.

·       Safely Preform other duties as assigned

·       Ability to work varying shifts, or overtime as required
