Requirements

- Relevant Experience Considered in any combination:
- Systems security, hardening, and security control implementation
- Experience with DISA STIGs and their application
- Network security experience, including architecture, topology, protocols, and components
- Experience with endpoint protection, identity management, and cloud security concepts
- Experience with SIEM technologies and their purpose
- Experience reviewing, interpreting, and implementing NIST SP 800-53 security controls
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Experience with AI technologies and their secure implementation
- Experience in technical writing with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and accessible manner .
- Current IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+ CE); IAM Level II or III certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM).

Our cybersecurity team is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our team 100% onsite at our facility in Dulles, Virginia.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform routine administrative and compliance tasks, including documentation, hardware/media accountability, and change management processes.
- →Monitor security events, alerts, and system logs to identify potential threats, anomalies, or Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) within Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
- →Conduct or review vulnerability assessments, analyze results, and support remediation efforts with technical teams.
- →Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, standards, and procedures.
- →Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery actions.
- →Collaborate closely with Digital Technology (DT) and business partners to ensure security controls are effectively integrated into systems, applications, and operational processes.
- →Participate in security awareness initiatives and contribute to strengthening the organization’s overall security posture.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
