Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer (Onsite)

• Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, or HMI software during internships, co-op programs, or academic projects.
• Experience with TIA Portal or Easy Builder Pro platforms and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with chemical processing and knowledge of manufacturing processes as well as automation technologies.
• Understanding of standards such as OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI, and ISA.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and industrial sensors (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow).
• Ability to perform instrument calculations, such as valve sizing and voltage.
• Knowledge and effective practice of EH&S (Environmental, Health and Safety) and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements.

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the manufacturing maturation of ceramic matrix composite (CMC) turbine components. CMCs are an enabling material that increases the temperature capability of jet engine components. Through successful development and application of these materials, P&W will deliver engines that are more fuel efficient, lighter weight and more durable for commercial and military applications.

• →Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• →A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell Automation, or similar platforms).
• →Familiarity with industrial control systems, instrumentation, and electrical schematics.
• →Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• →US Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
