Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Experience in Thermal Analysis and Characterization Techniques (ie: DSC, DMA, TGA, CTE, TC)
Experience in Analytical Chemistry and Instrumental Analysis including Infrared Spectroscopy and Chromatography (ie: FTIR, GCMS, HPLC, GPC, etc.)

Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science and Polymer Science
Understanding, with knowledge of material testing/analysis such as hardness, adhesion tests, sample preparation, cross section, etc.
Understanding of material safety datasheets and Military Specifications
Current/Active DoD clearance or SSBI
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to lead and complete large scale multi-disciplined scientific based projects including failure analysis investigations
Ability to write concise technical reports summarizing analyses
Able to troubleshoot analytical instrument problems, perform analysis and interpret data.
Good communication, interpersonal, planning, teaming and time management skills
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
