Requirements
~1 min readAn Associates Degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience may be considered.
Experience in expense reporting finance or an adjacent field, preferably in a large multi‑business unit organization.
Experience with government accounting concepts including allowability rules and regulations around expense reporting.
1+ year of experience with Concur or other travel and expense operating systems.
Knowledge of DETECT Oversight Operating system.
Profiency in Microsoft products.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and audit skills.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the travel and expense team members.

Assign and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and accurate processing of expense reports.

Handle escalations and resolve issues effectively, professionally in a timely manner.

Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated travel and expense-related inquiries.

Meet team Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and goals.

Foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging staff to meet and exceed performance targets.

Collaborates with other team leads to align resources where they are most needed.

Provide training and guidance for employees on travel and expense policies and system usage as required.

Identify training needs and work with management to develop and implement training programs for the team.

Evaluate current travel and expense processes and identify opportunities for efficiencies and enhancements.

Performs additional responsibilities and tasks assigned to support the overall objectives of the team/department.
