Global Placement Firm is partnering with a premier mechanical services company in Richmond, Virginia to identify a highly skilled Senior Chiller Technician experienced in the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of large tonnage HVAC and chiller systems.

As a Senior Chiller Technician, you will:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers, as well as complex HVAC systems.

Perform precision diagnostics, system optimization, and preventive maintenance to ensure peak system performance.

Utilize advanced manufacturer-specific software and tools to perform system analysis and calibration.

Collaborate with project and engineering teams on chiller retrofits, overhauls, and performance upgrades.

Document service activities, performance metrics, and client communications with accuracy and professionalism.

Support installations, startups, and commissioning of new systems.

Ensure compliance with EPA, ASHRAE, and OSHA guidelines.
Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of large tonnage chillers, HVAC systems, and advanced controls.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor and train other technicians effectively.
Professionalism: Dependable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to high-quality service.
Analytical Skills: Strong diagnostic abilities and familiarity with performance optimization techniques.
Requirements

5-7 years of hands-on experience servicing large tonnage chillers and HVAC systems.

EPA Universal Certification (required).

Proficiency with leading chiller manufacturers such as Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, or McQuay.

Working knowledge of BAS/BMS systems and digital controls.

Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and fieldwork as required.
