AU Auditor 09252026 - GSCLP

We are seeking an Auditor to join one of our clients. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality audit engagements by performing audit testing, documentation, and financial statement preparation while working closely with Audit Managers and Partners. You will gain exposure to the full audit lifecycle, develop technical auditing expertise, and build strong client relationships while ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm methodologies.

• →Gain a thorough understanding of the firm's audit approach, methodology, tools, and processes.
• →Assist in designing audit approaches and audit plans for client engagements.
• →Prepare and complete audit planning documentation using the firm's standard audit templates.
• →Select samples for audit testing in accordance with audit procedures and risk assessments.
• →Perform tests of controls, substantive testing, detailed audit procedures, and analytical reviews.
• →Identify accounting issues under IFRS and conduct research to support appropriate resolutions.
• →Keep Audit Managers and Partners informed of engagement progress, issues, and key findings.
• →Prepare draft statutory financial statements using the firm's audit and financial reporting software.
• →Draft audit summary memoranda, management letters, and key discussion points for closing meetings with management.
• →Develop and maintain professional relationships with client personnel to gain a better understanding of their business operations, processes, and controls.
• →Stay informed of current economic developments and industry trends relevant to client engagements.
• →Maintain professionalism and uphold the firm's quality and ethical standards throughout audit engagements.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA qualification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of external audit or related audit experience.
• Knowledge of Australian Auditing and Australian Accounting standards is an advantage but not required.
• Proven experience performing audit testing, audit documentation, analytical review procedures, and audit planning activities.
• Familiarity with IFRS and the ability to identify and research accounting issues.
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and audit working papers is highly regarded.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Sound technical accounting knowledge with strong attention to detail.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
