In this role, you will provide high-quality external audit services to Australian clients while collaborating with global engagement teams during the busy season. You will be responsible for managing complex audit sections, coordinating audit activities, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring audit engagements are completed efficiently and in accordance with Australian auditing standards and methodologies. Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality audit work across complex audit sections with minimal review points.
- →Perform and review audit procedures, working papers, and supporting documentation in accordance with audit methodologies and professional standards.
- →Facilitate audit fieldwork and coordinate deliverables from multiple team members to ensure engagement timelines are met.
- →Demonstrate strong knowledge of audit standards, audit methodology, and audit software systems.
- →Collaborate with Managers in supervising, coaching, and supporting Associates and Interns throughout audit engagements.
- →Monitor team productivity, workload allocation, and workplan schedules.
- →Review audit documentation and provide guidance to junior team members to ensure quality and compliance.
- →Coordinate effectively with clients and engagement teams to obtain required information and ensure a smooth audit process.
- →Proactively identify, address, and escalate audit issues, risks, and client concerns when necessary.
- →Assist in planning and executing audit engagements across a variety of General and Commercial industry clients.
- →Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- →Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the delivery of exceptional client service.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA qualification is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of external audit experience, including at least one (1) year in a senior capacity.
- Prior Australian busy season experience gained from a small or mid-tier accounting or audit firm.
- Proven experience performing and reviewing complex audit sections and audit documentation.
- Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior auditors.
- Strong understanding of Australian auditing standards, audit methodologies, and external audit processes.
- Experience working with General and Commercial industry clients is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in CaseWare is required and non-negotiable.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive communication style with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and engagement teams.
- High level of learning agility and adaptability in a fast-paced audit environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
