Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any relevant field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred
Minimum of 6+ years of external/financial audit experience (required)
Must have completed at least 15 Employee Benefit Plan (EBP/401k) audits within a single busy season (required)
At least 2 years of supervisory experience
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
Experience handling engagements within healthcare, manufacturing, and/or distribution industries is a plus
Proficiency in advanced Excel tools, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Amenable to a hybrid work setup
Willing to work on a night shift schedule

Responsibilities

→Gain a strong understanding of the firm's policies, procedures, and audit methodology
→Perform audit and accounting procedures as required for client engagements
→Ensure completion of engagements, including compilations, reviews, and compliance work
→Monitor engagement progress and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
→Deliver engagements on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations
→Prepare clear, accurate, and well-documented working papers and financial statements
→Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations to improve client operations
→Build and maintain strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with internal teams
→Supervise, mentor, and guide staff and senior accountants on engagements
→Review work outputs to ensure quality and compliance with professional standards
→Manage multiple engagements and priorities simultaneously
→Identify opportunities to provide additional or value-added services to clients
→Support business development efforts, including client retention and cross-selling services
→Stay updated on AICPA standards, FASB pronouncements, and industry developments
→Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions
→Perform other related duties as required, including working extended hours during peak periods
