In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.


To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:


Warehouse Supervisor


The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations at the mining site, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, spare parts, consumables, and equipment required for mining operations. The role ensures compliance with company policies, inventory control standards, safety regulations, and cost-control objectives while leading and supervising warehouse personnel.


Key Responsibilities 

Warehouse Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, issuing, and dispatching materials.
  • Ensure correct handling and storage of mining consumables, spare parts, explosives accessories (where applicable), fuels, lubricants, and hazardous materials.
  • Maintain organized warehouse layout and material identification systems to support efficient operations.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of critical spares and consumables.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic stocktakes; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and updates in the ERP / inventory management system.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving stock.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Enforce compliance with mine site safety rules, MSHA/OSHA standards (or local mining regulations), and company HSE policies.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and incident reporting.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the warehouse team.

Supervision & Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, including storekeepers, clerks, and material handlers.
  • Prepare work schedules and assign duties to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Coach employees on proper warehouse procedures and safety practices.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate documentation for goods received notes (GRNs), issue vouchers, delivery notes, and transfer records.
  • Prepare reports on inventory status, material usage, stock variances, and warehouse performance KPIs.

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with procurement, maintenance, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with transport providers and suppliers.
  • Support audits and inspections by internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications/Skills and Experience

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in warehouse or stores operations, preferably in mining, construction, oil & gas, or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control best practices.
  • Familiarity with mining materials, heavy equipment spares, and consumables.
  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Pronto, SAGE, or similar).
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.



Working Conditions

  • Position based at the OKO Project site. 
  • Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off
  • Transport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.
