Manager – Wholesale Data Services

We’re looking for a Manager – Wholesale Data Services to lead the wholesale data strategy for GO and Cablenet (the GO Group), working closely with local and international carriers to drive growth, develop new business opportunities, and manage international capacity.

• A degree in Engineering or a related technical field, and/or 5+ years' experience in telecommunications, ideally in wholesale data services or carrier relationship management. 
• Experience in product development and launching new data services. 
• Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to structure and close complex business solutions through effective pricing, budgeting and strategic planning.
• Effective project management skills and a track record of leading cross-functional teams. 
• Strong technical and commercial expertise in electronic communications, with sound knowledge of IP networking, data transit, international capacity solutions, MPLS, SD-WAN, Ethernet, and submarine and terrestrial cable infrastructure
• A working knowledge of the regulatory and legal environment in which we operate.

• Postgraduate qualification in Business Management. 
• Previous leadership experience, with a track record of managing and motivating teams

• →Establish and maintain strong business relationships with International Carriers and local operators by acting as the interface and focal point with respect to data services for the GO Group, ensuring that business is dealt with promptly and in a satisfactory manner.
• →Actively contribute to the formulation of the wholesale data strategy and manages the team effectively in creating new and improving existing revenue streams from the Wholesale Data business.
• →Drive new business development in data transit, international capacity, and related wholesale data services, identifying and capitalizing on emerging opportunities in the market and commercializing group assets such as subsea infrastructure. 
• →Draft and negotiate new agreements, and follow up and close deals, renewals and amendments to existing agreements with respect to the Data Services Portfolio.
• →Plan forecasts and negotiate and procure international capacity requirements with International Carriers and local operators.
• →Provide advice and propose solutions to external and internal client requirements and evaluate, recommend and, where applicable, implement services and solutions to enhance the Data Services Portfolio.
• →Carry out all necessary studies, analysis and cost calculations with the aim of minimising the wholesale data cost for the Group.
• →Co-ordinate the execution of projects by liaising with Technical, Finance, Legal, IT/Billing and other sections within the respective organisations.
• →Represent the GO Group in international conferences, trade events, fairs, exhibitions and meetings as necessary, with a focus on the data and capacity space.
• →Provide support to line management with commercial justification for network upgrades, capital investments as well as with pricing and business models related to data services.
• →Keep abreast with local and EU legal and regulatory wholesale and retail developments as they relate to data services.
• →Continually evaluate and timely adjust the International and Wholesale Data Services product strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions, ensuring the attainment of the Group's overall Wholesale strategic objectives.
