This role sits within the Financial Control team, who are responsible for the month-end close, preparation of financial accounts (to GL level,) and play a key role in the delivery of audits. Reporting into the Finance manager, you will be a newly / nearly qualified accountant with experience in delivering month-end activities such as accruals, prepayments, payroll and performing balance sheet reconciliations.

• Preparing monthly journals such as accruals, prepayments, leases and payroll across all entities. Collaborating with other teams, including AP, tax, payroll and management reporting, ensuring smooth end-to-end financial processes.
• Ownership of key balance sheet accounts, ensuring reconciliations are completed monthly and any variances are resolved on a timely basis
• Provide P&L variance analysis and commentary for key cost areas 
• Assist with the annual audits in preparation and provide the requested documents
• Preparing VAT returns
• Supporting the Finance Manager / Group Financial Controller as required

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or nearly qualified with several years of industry experience
• Proven experience in a management accountant role
• Intermediate Excel / Google Sheet skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving solving and communication skills
• Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts.
• Experience with multi-currency balance sheet reconciliations
• Ability to produce accurate work and consistently deliver to reporting deadlines
• Knowledge of NetSuite or similar accounting packages
• Team player, but ability to work independently
