This role owns the day-to-day inputs to our Salesforce Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system, builds the ROI analysis behind promotional and product decisions, and serves as the go-to finance resource for the sales team on distributor economics. It is an ideal opportunity for an early-career analyst who wants broad exposure to commercial finance in a fast-moving consumer products business, with a clear path to grow into wider FP&A ownership.

Candidates must reside in the Atlanta area to be considered for this role.

  • Ability to influence – communicate clearly and concisely to gain alignment and drive action across varying audiences
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Time management and project management skills a must!

  • Maintain high level of organization, time management and project management skills, commitment to follow through, enthusiasm, and motivation

Responsibilities

Trade Promotion Management and Forecasting

  • →Own the day-to-day inputs and data integrity of Salesforce Trade Promotion Management (TPM), including promotional events, pricing, volume plans, and customer and distributor hierarchies.
  • →Partner with the sales team to collect, validate, and load forecast inputs; follow up on gaps, stale assumptions, and unapproved changes so submissions are complete, accurate, and on time.
  • →Drive the monthly forecast cadence and calendar — publish deadlines, run working sessions with sales leadership, and reconcile the TPM forecast to the financial forecast, clearly explaining any variance.
  • →Maintain TPM documentation, training materials, and user support; identify and recommend system and process improvements as the tool and the business mature.

Commercial Investment Analysis and ROI

  • →Build detailed ROI and post-event analysis on commercial investments, including crew drives, limited time offer (LTO) products, displays, and customer promotional programs.
  • →Develop pre-launch business cases with clearly stated assumptions, break-even volumes, and risk and opportunity ranges; recap actual results and feed the learnings back into future planning.
  • →Analyze price, volume, mix, trade rate, and gross-to-net drivers to explain what moved results and where investment is — and is not — paying back.

Distributor Financials and Local Marketing Fund Management

  • →Manage the tracking and reporting of the local marketing fund (LMF) with our distributors, including accruals, approvals, spend versus budget, and balance reconciliation.
  • →Own the accuracy of distributor financials, including pricing, deductions, chargebacks, and depletion data; investigate and resolve discrepancies with distributors and internal partners.
  • →Translate distributor financials into clear, usable views for the sales team and serve as the finance point of contact for questions on distributor profitability and program economics.

Commercial Reporting and Financial Planning

  • →Prepare recurring commercial reporting — volume, net sales, trade spend, and customer and distributor performance versus budget, forecast, and prior year — with clear callouts on drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • →Support the annual budget and long-range planning process for the commercial organization.
  • →Maintain and improve Excel models and system reporting, increasing automation and reducing manual effort in recurring deliverables.
  • →Build strong working relationships across Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Accounting, and present findings clearly to non-finance audiences.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, commercial or sales finance, or data analysis; relevant internship or co-op experience will be considered
  • Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and the ability to build and audit a working model
  • Solid grounding in financial statement fundamentals and core finance concepts such as margin, contribution, and return on investment
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort reconciling and validating large data sets
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain financial results to non-finance audiences

Preferred:

  • Internship, co-op, or full-time experience in consumer products, CPG, beverage, or retail
  • Exposure to a trade promotion management (TPM), CRM, or planning system; Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Domo, Power BI, or Tableau, or with an ERP such as Business Central, SAP, or NetSuite
  • Experience with syndicated retail data (Circana/IRI, Nielsen, SPINS) or distributor depletion data
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Work Environment: Standard professional office environment with a hybrid work schedule. Employees are expected to work on-site 2–3 days per week, with specific in-office days determined by business needs, including collaboration, planning sessions, training activities, and other team or leadership meetings.
