Transportation Supervisor 2

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for motivated, team-building individual to fill a full-time Transportation Supervisor 2 position at our Averill Warehouse location in Flint.  

$20/ hour  Monday-Friday 5:30 am to 2:00 pm

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Assists in the direction of work to meet pickup and delivery schedules.
• Assumes dock area responsibilities in the absence of supervisor.
• Assists in training and evaluation of dock personnel
• Responsible for housekeeping of dock area, truck wells, and removal of trash.
• Monitors trash compactor.
• Ability to drive a 53 ft semi or box truck when needed. 
• Monitors metal salvage.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, maintaining a good attendance record.

Think you've got what it takes? 

• High school diploma/GED required
• Valid Michigan Commercial driver's license with the endorsements required to drive a 53ft semi and box truck, along with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Clearinghouse License reference check. 
• Logistics experience is preferred; management experience required
• Knowledge and experience with unions preferred
• Computer competencies, including MS Word and Excel, and a strong emphasis on safety are required.
• Show initiative, good judgment, and dependability
