Staff Accountant I — Corporate

SecurTec West Palm Beach, FL (In-Office) $60,000 – $70,000 per year Full-time | Monday – Friday, Daytime Hours About This Role This position supports SecurTec's Finance and Accounting function from our West Palm Beach corporate headquarters. The Staff Accountant I plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and reporting. Position Summary The Staff Accountant I is responsible for performing day-to-day general accounting activities, including bookkeeping, payroll support, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain broad exposure across the full accounting cycle while contributing to a growing company. Key Responsibilities Perform general bookkeeping, including recording and posting journal entries Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions Support payroll processing, including review, reconciliation, and related journal entries Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, including accruals and adjusting entries Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls Support the broader Finance team with ad hoc projects and analysis Location This is a full-time, in-office position at SecurTec's corporate headquarters in West Palm Beach, FL. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, daytime. Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting principles Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications Experience with month-end close in a corporate or multi-entity environment Exposure to payroll processing and reconciliation Coursework or progress toward CPA licensure Benefits $60,000 – $70,000 per year Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) 401(k) retirement plan Life insurance Paid training and continuing education opportunities Career growth within a respected and expanding security firm Benefit eligibility, coverage levels, and employer contributions vary by position, tier, and length of service.
