GRAIL is seeking a Health System Partnerships Associate Director to lead the integration and expansion of GRAIL products and services within selected health systems and key strategic partners.

In this role, you will own the strategic vision and growth of partnerships across assigned healthcare institutions, representing GRAIL’s product portfolio. You will engage with executive and operational leaders within health systems to implement high-value programs, identify opportunities to broaden access across patient populations and care settings, and drive execution against shared goals. This role will shape account-level strategy and growth plans in close partnership with Director-level leadership, ensuring alignment with broader market access priorities.

The ideal candidate brings strong account management experience and deep healthcare ecosystem knowledge, an ability to influence executive-level cross-functional stakeholders, and a demonstrated track record of executing complex initiatives within healthcare systems. Success in this role requires balancing long-term partnership objectives with near-term performance goals while navigating the healthcare ecosystem effectively.

You will be accountable for the growth of Galleri across assigned accounts. You will lead system negotiations and contracting efforts, forecasting, and develop comprehensive pull-through strategies while working closely with internal stakeholders across field, market access, and marketing teams. You will also collaborate with payer and employer partnership teams to help identify and advance access opportunities.

Candidates will be selected based on their ability to contribute to a high-performing team culture grounded in trust, accountability, and a shared mission to expand access to breakthrough cancer early detection technology across the U.S.

This is a remote based role and covers institutions in the Eastern U.S. You will be approved to work from your City and State within the US. While your primary workplace is your home, you must be able to travel a minimum of 30% of the time to a GRAIL office, customer location, or other locations to perform your work or attend team-related events.

  • Lead day-to-day partnership activities for assigned healthcare systems, including academic centers and population health organizations, to expand adoption of GRAIL products.
  • Establish and cultivate executive-level (CEO, CMO, CIO, CTO, Cancer Center Directors, Medical Directors, and Lab Leadership) stakeholder relationships that result in system launches, market expansion, and new business initiatives. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of each partner’s structure, economic drivers, strategic priorities, and operational workflows to inform account planning and opportunity development.
  • Own negotiation and execution of contracts in collaboration with senior leadership and legal partners.Lead MCED system-level workflow adoption, technology integrations, and broad provider awareness in partnership with medical and field teams.
  • Lead executive business reviews and ongoing governance meetings; prepare materials and performance analyses for leadership discussions.
  • Identify payer/employer access expansion opportunities, including presentation of  cost-benefit analysis, in partnership with payer and HEOR supporting teams.
  • Develop and execute integrated account plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams interacting across clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for evidence generation, pilot programs, or operational improvements, partnering with medical and clinical development teams as appropriate.
  • Develop and lead comprehensive launch playbooks to ensure launch excellence and pull-through with provider field teams to ensure coordinated engagement and strong customer experience delivery.
  • Collaborate with payer access and marketing teams to incorporate customer insights into value proposition development and pull-through initiatives.
  • Monitor healthcare system trends (e.g., reimbursement changes, care pathway evolution, EMR integration considerations) and share insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all partnership activities and customer engagements are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • BS/BA degree (science or healthcare preferred); advanced degree in business, public health, or healthcare-related field a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in health system partnerships, account management, or related healthcare roles. Internal candidates with 2+ years of relevant GRAIL experience may also be considered based on demonstrated experience and capabilities aligned with the role.
  • 12+ years of experience in health system partnerships, account management, or related healthcare roles with 7+ years of demonstrated success managing complex health systems partnerships, with measurable outcomes. 
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to implement product or service solutions within health systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, including forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Ability to develop and deliver clear, data-driven presentations to a range of stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks governing healthcare marketing and partnership activities.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific and public health concepts clearly and credibly.
  • Track record of achieving performance objectives in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Experience working with healthcare system stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and executive leaders.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement dynamics, delivery models, and institutional decision-making processes.
  • Oncology, diagnostics, or early detection experience are preferred.
  • Hours and days may vary depending on operational needs.
  • Working with dry ice may be necessary.
  • Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary.
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials, blood specimens and instruments with moving parts, heating or freezing elements, and high speed centrifugation.
  • Some lifting (up to 25 pounds) may be necessary
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 30% of the time
  • The expected, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $146K-$194K. 

    This role may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including an annual bonus and/or incentives, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and Company discretion. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. Employees in this role are also eligible for GRAIL’s comprehensive and competitive benefits package, offered in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. This package currently includes flexible time-off or vacation; a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match; medical, dental, and vision coverage; and carefully selected mindfulness programs.
