About the Role
~1 min readPlan the materials that keep Graphcore’s engineering builds moving from idea to prototype.
As Supply Chain Planning Manager - NPI, you will turn project roadmaps into practical material plans. You will support lab equipment, engineering components, prototype parts and consumables in Bristol.
Your work will help Engineering, R&D and Operations avoid delays during critical build phases. You will spot shortages, supply risks and inventory issues before they affect schedules.
You will work with Procurement to secure materials and track supplier commitments. You will also use data, scenarios and planning insight to support NPI and prototype development.
This role suits someone who brings structure to ambiguity and keeps complex hardware programmes moving.
You will work closely with Engineering, R&D, Operations and Procurement. Work happens through shared planning, clear reporting and practical decisions based on material readiness.
You will be trusted to take responsibility for supply risks, act quickly when plans change and speak up early. The role needs someone who can turn technical schedules into clear supply chain action.
Your impact will be visible in smoother builds, stronger planning discipline and fewer avoidable disruptions. You will help create the foundations for ambitious AI hardware development.
- Over five years of supply chain experience, preferably within the high-tech industry.
- Proven experience supporting Engineering, R&D, lab operations, prototype builds or NPI programmes.
- Solid understanding of supply chain planning, demand forecasting and inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VBA, data modelling, automation and ERP systems.
- Hardware product-related sourcing experience is strictly required.
