Today, we are a growing multimedia company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We are the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets serving 117 full-power television markets that collectively reach approximately 37% of US television households. The portfolio includes 80 markets with the top-rated television station and 100 markets with the first- and/or second-highest-rated television station in average all-day ratings across 116 of such markets that were measured by Nielsen in 2025. We also own the largest Telemundo Affiliate group with 46 markets and Gray Digital Media, a full-service digital agency offering national and local clients digital marketing strategies with the most advanced digital products and services. Our additional media properties include video production companies Raycom Sports, Tupelo Media Group, and PowerNation Studios, and studio production facilities Assembly Atlanta and Third Rail Studios.

WMTV serves south central Wisconsin. We are the #1 station—leading the market in news and weather coverage-- and we are recognized for sharing information with accuracy and immediacy on our digital platforms.

We work hard and take pride in getting it right.

WMTV has been named the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association News Operation of the Year (for the last 5 of 6 years) AND the WBA's Station of the Year. RTDNA recognized the station with seven regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. In 2025, the station won two National Edward R. Murrow Awards for digital and breaking news coverage.

What's better than working at the #1 station in the nation's #1 city? Join our award-winning team and live, work, and play in a community that is consistently named one of the best places to live in America. We are just 1.5 hours from Milwaukee, 2.5 hours from Chicago, and 5 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Are you the kind of person who sees a storm system moving across the Plains and immediately starts thinking about how it will impact your neighbors in the upper Midwest? We're looking for a Weekend Evening Meteorologist to join our award-winning, #1-rated 15 News and First Alert Weather team.

This isn't just about reading a green screen; it's about owning the First Alert Weather brand across every platform, from the big screen in the living room to the vertical video in the palm of someone's hand.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

What You'll Do:

- Champion the First Alert brand: Deliver accurate forecasts that prioritize safety and planning, whether it's a sunny Saturday or high-stakes severe weather.
- Own the digital space: Create streaming updates and vertical videos for social that stop the scroll and provide real value.
- Lead through the storm: Assist or lead wall-to-wall severe coverage during Wisconsin spring and summer with urgency and calm reassurance.
- Craft visual stories: Use state-of-the-art The Weather Company Max graphics to make complex data concise, relatable, and visually stunning.
- Collaborate with the best: Work with our #1-rated news team to make weather seamless across newscasts, web, and social.
- Showcase your versatility: Home is weekend evenings with a Wed-Sun shift, but you're ready to pivot to The Morning Show when our Chief is off or cover evening shows when our PM meteorologist is off.
- Connect with Madison: Represent WMTV via live field reporting and public appearances.
