Are you a newsroom leader who thrives on local news? Do you believe a great newscast isn’t just "delivered"; rather, it’s crafted with intention, urgency, and a digital-first heartbeat? We’re looking for a powerhouse evening anchor/producer to own the night, lead our editorial vision, and become the trusted voice our community turns to as the day winds down. This isn't just a seat behind a desk; it’s a role where you’ll shape the stories that matter across every screen - from the living room TV to the palm of our viewers' hands.

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but are not  limited to):

What you'll do:

- Own the late-night narrative: Produce and anchor our 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm newscasts, ensuring every show is fast-paced, high-energy, and packed with the information our audience needs.
- Lead the evening shift: Act as the editorial North Star for the night crew, making the tough calls and providing general oversight to ensure our coverage is accurate, fair, and first.
- Command the 6:00 desk: Co-anchor our flagship early evening newscast, bringing a steady presence that builds trust with our viewers.
- Pioneer the future of news: You'll anchor our upcoming streaming evening newscast (launching in 2027!), helping us define what "appointment viewing" looks like in a digital-first world.
- Drive multi-platform engagement: Ensure our evening coverage lives and breathes on social, our station app, and streaming platforms, meeting our audience wherever they are.

What you'll bring:

- A commanding on-air presence: You don’t just read the news; you connect with the person on the other side of the glass with authenticity and authority.
- Killer producing instincts: You know how to stack a show for maximum impact and aren't afraid to blow up a rundown when breaking news hits.
- Editorial backbone: You have the experience and confidence to lead a newsroom, making quick, smart decisions under deadline pressure.
- Digital-first DNA: You’re already thinking about the streaming and social angles of a story before the cameras even turn on.
- A "Partner" mindset: You’re a collaborator who lifts the team, mentors young producers, and understands that we win as a unit.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with newsroom computer systems (like ENPS) and non-linear editing software.
- Streaming Fluency: Experience with or a deep understanding of OTT/Streaming platforms and how to engage a digital audience.
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience in an editorial leadership role (Executive Producer, Managing Editor, or similar) is a huge plus.
- Flexibility: You understand news doesn't keep a 9:00-to-5:00 schedule, and you're ready to own the evening shift Monday through Friday.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional writing skills that translate to both conversational broadcast scripts and punchy digital copy.
