KALB, the dominant news leader in Alexandria, Louisiana, is looking for an Evening Anchor/MMJ who’s passionate about storytelling and thrives in a digital-first newsroom. We aren’t just looking for a “reader” — we want a journalist who can lead, innovate, and connect with our audience across Central Louisiana on every platform.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
~1 min read- College degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
- Must thrive as part of a team and collaborate effectively with others
- Strong anchoring, communication, and writing skills with the ability to craft engaging content across platforms
- Must meet daily news deadlines and work well under pressure during breaking news and severe weather events
- Understanding of and adherence to journalism ethics and using AP Style
- Knowledge of ENPS and Edius is a plus
