Assembler / Fabricator / Finisher / Basic Welder
Great Lakes Stainless is looking for a dependable, hands-on team member to assemble, fabricate, finish, and perform basic welding on custom metal cabinets.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assemble and fabricate metal cabinet components using blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- →Prepare materials by deburring, cutting, removing protective coverings, and staging parts.
- →Install doors, glass, shelving, drawers, hinges, locks, and other hardware.
- →Safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment.
- →Perform basic and light TIG welding, weld grinding, and finishing.
- →Inspect products for quality and make adjustments, repairs, or rework as needed.
- →Complete job travelers and production records accurately.
- →Clean, detail, package, and palletize finished products for shipment.
- →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- →Work with supervisors and team members to meet quality and production goals.
- Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions and read basic blueprints.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn new skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or welding experience is a plus, but not required—we will train the right person.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Requirements
~1 min readThis is an active manufacturing position requiring standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and working in tight areas around machinery and fabricated products.
Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, lighting, and ventilation and lift/maneuver materials weighing approximately 50–90 pounds is required.
