Creative Strategist
Quick Summary
Department: Marketing / Growth Reports to: Head of Marketing The Role, In One LineWe're hiring someone who doesn't ask "what creative piece should I make?".
Responsibilities
~1 min readWork with product marketing to develop the core creative idea behind product GTM strat and launches, feature drops, and growth campaigns.
Infuse the thinking behind why this idea will land with this audience, into the strategy/creative.
Turn positioning and messaging frameworks into concepts that are simple, sharp, and repeatable across channels.
Pressure-test concepts against user behavior and funnel data before they go into production. Not just "is this a cool idea" but "will this idea change behavior."
Set the visual direction for campaigns across mood, tone, art direction briefs and partner closely with designers/illustrators/agencies to bring it to life.
Ensure every visual choice ladders back to the strategic idea, not just aesthetic trend-chasing.
Conceptualize motion and video concepts from short-form social edits to product demo reels to launch films with a bias toward ideas that work with a fast scroll-thumb, not against it.
Work with marketing to develop the "big idea" that a product or feature launch is built around. The theme that ties together the landing page, the ads, the emails, the social posts, and the sales enablement into one coherent story.
Work backward from business goals (adoption, activation, revenue) to figure out what story will actually move those numbers.
Launch campaigns where the idea is what people remember, not just "the company posted something."
A growing library of hooks, formats, and concepts that the team can learn from and reuse.
Leadership sees creative as a growth lever in this org, not a "make it pretty" function, and you're a big reason why.
Required:
A track record of concepts you've developed that shipped and drove a measurable result
Comfortable reading performance data (CTR, conversion, retention, engagement) and using it to inform creative decisions
Strong creative<> business instincts
A real point of view on visual and motion direction
Deep, current fluency in social and cultural trends
Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Product Marketing, Design, and Growth/Performance teams.
