We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) who is passionate about scientific exchange, collaboration and advancing patient care. As a field-based scientific expert within Oncology and Hematology, you will build trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals, generate insights that shape medical strategy and support evidence-generation activities that advance patient outcomes.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • →Build and maintain collaborative scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, investigators, oncology centres and key external experts across the region.
  • →Facilitate balanced, evidence-based scientific exchange regarding GSK medicines, clinical data and pipeline developments.
  • →Gather, analyse and communicate medical insights that help inform strategy and identify opportunities to improve patient care.
  • →Support evidence-generation activities, including investigator-sponsored studies and scientific collaborations.
  • →Identify and engage potential investigators, research sites and external experts.
  • →Plan and contribute to scientific meetings, advisory boards and educational programmes.
  • →Represent GSK Medical Affairs at regional and national scientific congresses and meetings.
  • →Collaborate across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Commercial and other cross-functional teams.
  • →Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable ethical, regulatory and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc or equivalent).
  • Experience in a Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, Medical Advisor, Clinical Scientist or similar scientific role.
  • Scientific knowledge within Oncology, Hematology or a related therapeutic area.
  • Experience engaging with healthcare professionals, investigators, researchers or scientific experts.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
  • Understanding of ethical, regulatory and compliance requirements within healthcare or life sciences environments.

The following experiences would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • Knowledge of hematologic malignancies, solid tumours, immuno-oncology or related specialist disease areas.
  • Experience working with oncology centres, university hospitals, research networks or specialist healthcare institutions.
  • Participation in clinical research, investigator-sponsored studies or evidence-generation activities.
  • Experience planning or facilitating advisory boards, scientific meetings or educational initiatives.
  • Strong presentation and scientific storytelling skills.
  • Experience translating scientific insights into recommendations that influence strategy and decision-making.

This is a field-based role supporting healthcare professionals and key stakeholders across North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony, including Münster, Osnabrück, Oldenburg, Bochum and Bremen.


Candidates should live within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance to effectively support customers and stakeholders.

Germany Salary Range / Gehaltsbandbreiten Deutschland: EUR 86,250 to EUR 143,750For positions covered by collective bargaining, employment conditions and remuneration are determined by the applicable collective agreements for the chemical industry as well as internal policies. More detailed information on compensation will be provided during the recruitment process. Depending on the role and internal policies, the position may also be eligible for a bonus (if applicable and based on defined, non-discretionary criteria) and/or awards for exceptional performance (granted at the employer’s discretion). All benefits arising from the applicable collective bargaining agreement, such as holiday allowance and additional paid time off, will be provided in full, in accordance with that agreement and German law.
