They will work closely with operational, engineering and project teams to identify and mitigate emerging risks, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain effective stakeholder engagement, and support the safe execution of all decommissioning and demolition activities while protecting people, the environment, and site assets.

Responsibilities

  • Decommissioning & Transition EHS Leadership – Provide EHS leadership for the safe transition of manufacturing operations from active production through decommissioning, dismantling and final site handover, ensuring risks are identified, assessed and effectively controlled. Support the planning and execution of decomissioning and dismantling activities through effective contractor management, permit-to-work oversight and governance of high-risk activities including confined space entry, lifting operations, hot work and work at height.
  • EHS Advice & Subject Matter Expertise – Provide practical EHS guidance and support to managers and employees, acting as the site SME for assigned EHS topics.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting – Manage EHS metrics, adverse event reporting and KPI analysis, identifying trends and ensuring compliance with legal and company reporting requirements.

  • Audit, Assurance & Incident Prevention – Conduct inspections, audits and assurance activities to verify compliance, identify emerging risks, investigate incidents and near misses, and drive timely completion of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement, Training & Change Management – Deliver EHS training, coaching and communications to employees, contractors and project teams, fostering a strong safety culture during a period of significant operational change and workforce transition.
