The Quality Control (QC) organization includes several teams: Systems, Chemistry, Chromatography,  Immunology, and Microbiology. The Systems group is responsible for supporting the QC laboratory in various functions, including but not limited to, fridge/freezer oversight and management, stability sample management, sample receipt, shipment receipt from external sites, setting up outgoing shipments, and setting up analytical systems utilized by the laboratory. The Chemistry team is responsible for utilities testing (TOC, Conductivity, Nitrates), compendial testing/assays, incoming materials and component release testing.

Receive and prepare quality control samples for further processing by in-house and external testing labs following cGMPs. Performs any or all sample coordinator functions including oversight and performance of a variety of complex standard tasks and sample tasks (receipt, accessioning, routing, storage, aliquotting, shipping, discard, destruction, etc.) in support of the sample management department. Performs routine departmental GMP activities (lab instrument calibrations, preventive maintenance, audits, work orders, etc) to support our group, as well as supporting other laboratory groups. This can also include performing chemistry testing for utilities and incoming materials/component release. This role involves interacting and coordinating with various other departments and with the other teams within the QC organization.

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s (Junior/Senior level) or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or science related fields.
• Organizational skills, ability to follow procedures (SOPs), understanding of GMPs, and experience with biopharmaceutical products/testing.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes/techniques.
• Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the 6-month co-op (January ~ June 2027, flexible based on academic schedules).
• Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.

• Assays/experiences include (but not limited to) – pH, Appearance, Osmolality, HPLC/UPLC, PCR, FTIR, TOC, Conductivity, Wet Chemistry, aliquotting, shipping/sample logistics, project management.
• System experience preferred – SAP/ERP, Labware LIMS/LES, Agentry, InfoLogs, Microsoft Office, GLAMS (artwork database for component release).
• Working knowledge of cGXP, ICH guidelines, FDA, USP/EP/JP and data integrity guidelines and regulations.

• Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.
