Position for Non-locally Trained Diagnostic Radiographers without Full Registration with the Radiographers Board, Hong Kong (Limited Registration)

The Hospital Authority (HA) invites applications from non-locally trained Diagnostic Radiographer who are not fully registered with the Radiographers Board, Hong Kong to join us to serve the community of Hong Kong. 

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (HKSARG) has amended existing law to facilitate qualified non-locally trained Diagnostic Radiographers to practice in the public healthcare sector of Hong Kong under limited registration.

Resident Diagnostic Radiographers (Limited Registration)

Pay

HK$36,465 to HK$58,922 per month including Monthly Allowance (see Remark 3) 

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by HA) as end-of-contract gratuity will be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract.

Basic Requirements

1. Registered under the law of a qualifying place outside Hong Kong as a Diagnostic Radiographer 
2. With at least 1-year full-time post-qualification clinical experience related to radiography
3. A degree in Diagnostic Radiography / Medical Imaging / Radiological Science or equivalent

Professional Registration and Employment Visa

The HA will arrange selection interviews with shortlisted candidates and will support applications of suitable candidates to Allied Health Professions Council to practice under Limited Registration.

The HA will also assist successfully registered candidates who are not Hong Kong residents in application to obtain employment visas from the Immigration Department of the HKSARG prior to commencement of work.

Applicants are required to upload (1) full resume*, (2) graduation certificate, (3) valid practising certificate issued by a certifying board or authority, (4) valid registration certificate issued by a registration authority, (5) documentary proof(s) of all full-time post-qualification clinical experience related to radiography, (6) two reference letters from current / previous employing institution (if any), and (7) certificate of professional qualification or post-qualification training (if any) listed in the resume in the "Attachment Upload" page when making online application.    * Full resume should include details of the followings:

   （a）    Details of your academic qualification obtained (including name of Institute and country, name of the degree / programme studied, and date obtained);

   （b）    Country / Countries where you are currently registered with;

   （c）    Country where you are currently practicing;

   （d）    Details of all post-qualification working experience (including employment period, position held, name of organization and major responsibilities); 

   （e）    Details of related professional qualifications (if any) (including name of Institute and country, name of the programme / course studied or qualification obtained, and date obtained)

3. Selected candidates normally enter at the first point of an incremental pay scale. Entry at higher points of the scale and incremental jump of salary would be subject to the prevailing HR policies. 

4. Appointment will be on contract terms for a period of one to three years, which is renewable subject to the renewal of Limited Registration with Allied Health Professions Council, satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

    

5. Salaries tax in Hong Kong is currently charged at progressive rates of up to 17%, or standard rate of 15%, whichever is lower.
6. May be required to work shifts and irregular hours as well as to perform on-call duties.
