At HANDS, our Behavior Technicians (BT’s) are professionals who have completed a minimum of a 40-hour intensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). All BT’s are continually supervised by an agency BCBA on a weekly basis and engage in behavior analytic professional development activities.  BT’s are responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the BCBA. The BT may also collect data and conduct certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments) under the supervision of a BCBA. 

• →Provide one-on-one behavioral interventions to clients in both home and center-based settings
• →Run skill acquisition programs with clients based on the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis
• →Complete daily program writing and data collection before the end of each shift
• →Work with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to implement individualized treatment plans
• →Collect and accurately record data on clients’ progress
• →Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients during treatment sessions

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, special education, or related field preferred
• A minimum of one (1) years experience in working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs
• Strong preference for candidates who already possess the RBT certification
• Must be caring, energetic, and detail-oriented
• Driver’s License and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift/carry up to a maximum of 50 lbs and remain standing for up to 4 hours
• Must be able to remain within close proximity to children at all times for safety
• Ability to get up and down from the floor independently

• Successful completion of criminal history background check and drug testing
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals in different settings
