The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing key financial planning and analysis activities, including treasury management, business planning and forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis. This role provides financial insight to support business decisions while strengthening financial controls, risk management, and operational effectiveness.
The position also provides leadership to the Finance & Planning team, establishing strategic goals and priorities while partnering with cross-functional teams and management to support the company's overall financial objectives.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Oversee daily cash flow management, monthly treasury reporting, cash forecasting, banking relationships, and related treasury activities.
- →Coordinate the development of the annual Profit & Loss (P&L) business plan and asset investment plan.
- →Monitor departmental spending against approved expense and investment budgets and identify potential variances or areas of concern.
- →Review monthly Profitability Analysis (PA) results, validate financial information, and finalize related reports.
- →Analyze financial results through the Global Consolidated Controlling System (GCC) and provide insights into business performance.
- →Review and prepare six-month rolling P&L forecasts and current-month expected P&L results.
- →Review and prepare monthly Risk Management System (RMS) reports and monitor key financial risks.
- →Analyze business performance and provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
- →Establish strategic goals and performance targets for the Finance & Planning function and lead team members in achieving those objectives.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams and management to identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and operational effectiveness.
- →Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- →Serve as both an individual contributor and team leader, balancing hands-on financial analysis with team leadership responsibilities.
- →Apply sound business judgment and financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- →Establish goals, priorities, and performance expectations for the Finance & Planning team.
- →Lead and develop team members to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- →Provide financial guidance and recommendations to management based on business performance and financial trends.
Requirements
~2 min read- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required.
- Advanced degree in a related field preferred.
- General knowledge of financial accounting within a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and treasury functions.
- Strong understanding of industry practices, organizational needs, and general business conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English preferred.
- Experience working in a multinational or corporate environment preferred.
- Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial management systems preferred.
- Must be available and authorized to travel internationally.
- Overnight travel is required on an occasional basis, approximately twice per quarter.
- Travel may include visits to other company locations, business meetings, and other activities as needed.
