Responsibilities

We’re seeking a Mechanical Lead to support the Unit 1 Modernization at Burton Dam—a multi-discipline infrastructure and systems upgrade that sets the foundation for future units. If you thrive in a dynamic construction environment and bring a strong background in contractor oversight and field coordination, we want to hear from you.


  • →Support field coordination and contract administration for assigned project scope
  • →Oversight of contractor activities and adherence to site safety procedures (including BBS, SWA, and SST programs)
  • →Participate in quality surveillance and ensure implementation of site quality protocols
  • →Log daily progress and contractor interactions using project systems such as Unifier and CAMP
  • →Attend and contribute to required project meetings
  • →Monitor and verify construction activities align with technical documents, including drawings, specs, and general/special conditions
  • →Full turbine and generator replacement
  • →Replacement of all I&C systems using the onsite Hydro Generation model
  • →Electrical and mechanical balance of plant (BOP) upgrades
  • →Civil infrastructure improvements including head gates, trash racks, spillway gates, and powerhouse crane upgrades
