Phlebotomist

Note: Must not have any relation with anyone in the TDCJ / state penitentiary

• →Perform phlebotomy (blood draws) and standard laboratory technician duties in accordance with the Rules and Regulations relating to Lab Technicians in the State of Texas.
• →Work compassionately and effectively with individuals with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, chemical dependency, and social or physical disorders.
• →Adhere strictly to the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC, Austin State Hospital, and HJ Staffing (including leave and attendance policies).
• →Complete all mandatory daily reporting, laboratory documentation, and administrative duties as assigned.

• Experience: One (1) year of phlebotomy / blood-drawing experience is preferred.
• Licensure & Certifications: Must hold and maintain current, active state/national phlebotomy or lab technician certifications throughout the duration of the assignment.
• Professionalism: Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to maintain composure in a mental health care facility setting.
