What Will You Do as a Caregiver?

As a FirstLight caregiver, you will help older adults maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

Your responsibilities may include:

Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
Preparing meals and assisting with daily nutrition.
Helping with light housekeeping, laundry, and everyday household tasks.
Supporting clients with walking, mobility, and safe transfers.
Assisting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or Parkinson's disease.
Providing reminders and assistance with daily routines.
Following individualized care plans and communicating important observations to the care team.
Helping clients remain active, engaged, and comfortable.

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference.

A warm smile, a listening ear, or a helping hand can turn an ordinary day into someone's best day.

Who We're Looking For

You may be the perfect fit for FirstLight if you:

Have a genuine passion for helping older adults.
Are compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy.
Enjoy spending time with people and building meaningful relationships.
Are comfortable assisting with personal care and daily activities.
Are available to work primarily daytime hours.
Have reliable transportation to client homes in the Chelsea area.
Are willing to learn new skills and participate in training.
Can meet applicable background screening and employment requirements.
Communicate professionally with clients, families, and team members.

Previous caregiving experience is a plus, but it is not required!

We welcome applicants who have cared for parents, grandparents, relatives, or friends.

We also encourage CNAs, home health aides, personal care assistants, and experienced caregivers to apply.
