Intensivist Needed in Hartford County, CT | Cardiac ICU & Mechanical Support

Healthcare United is seeking a BE/BC Critical Care Intensivist for a full-time role in the Wethersfield Area, Connecticut. Care for high-acuity Cardiac ICU patients with APP and fellow support. Overview Specialty: Critical Care Medicine Location: Wethersfield Area, Connecticut Practice Setting: Cardiac ICU Work Schedule: Full-time daytime role | 40 hours weekly Affiliated Program Volume: Approximately 1,000–2,000 cardiac operations and 30–50 heart transplants annually, presented as rounded program volumes. Support Staff / Resources: Experienced APPs, Cardiology and Critical Care fellows, Cardiac Surgery, and advanced Heart Failure teams Compensation: Salaried position; displayed hourly equivalent of approximately $195–$290. New Grads/Practicing: Experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply. What You Can Expect Care for perioperative Cardiac Surgery, heart transplant, VAD, Cardiogenic Shock, and Mechanical Circulatory Support patients. Use ECMO, Impella, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump support within a multidisciplinary program. Teach APPs, fellows, residents, and interns; ECMO leadership opportunities depend on experience. Requirements MD or DO. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine; strong Cardiac Critical Care interest and experience. Ability to place Chest Tubes, perform Bronchoscopy, and manage Emergent Intubation required. ECMO cannulation experience preferred, not required. Connecticut license or eligibility appropriate to the role. Current CV required.
