~1 min readThe Director, Bureau of Community Support Services will oversee, and direct policy and program development related to HIV/AIDS Supportive services for people living with HIV. HIV services include legal services for individuals and families, benefits counseling, case management, health education/risk reduction, nutrition, medical transportation, and supportive housing. Duties include directing policy formulation, program planning, design, and implementation and overseeing program evaluation, fiscal management; and the provision of technical assistance to providers. The Director, Bureau of Community Support Services will serve on internal and external interagency committees and workgroups to provide expertise and perspective on HIV-related issues and Ending the Epidemic goals; ensure that service needs for persons with HIV/AIDS are addressed. The Director, Bureau of Community Support Services will be a member of the Division of HIV Health Care management team and will be responsible for directing the allocation of resources, directing the day-to-day implementation and management of programs, supervising staff; and performing other appropriate related duties.
Requirements
~1 min readA Bachelor’s degree in a related field and six years of experience in the direction and/or management of an HIV/AIDS or other relevant program in a public health, health/human services, health regulatory program or community-based services organization; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and eight years of such experience; OR ten years of such experience. The years of experience must have included policy formulation, program planning, design, implementation, evaluation, and/or allocation of resources. At least four years of experience must have included supervision of staff and program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
At least five years of experience in the supervision of public health or health program staff; at least five years of program management experience; at least three years of experience with grant management; demonstrated experience with public speaking in a local, state, or national setting. At least two years of experience interpreting data and/or conducting data analysis; at least two years of experience in developing guidance and policies.
Management/Confidential position. Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Travel up to 25% of the time will be required.
The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of onsite and remote work.
