STE - System Engineer

Sensor Technology Engineering (STE) is hiring for the role of System Engineer I!

STE is the United States' premier provider of radiation detectors for nuclear search, in support of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) and Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) missions.

The System Engineer will contribute to the development, design, and delivery of STE’s industry-leading radiation detection systems. These systems will be delivered to STE’s customers, forming a key element of their operational capabilities.

$80k - $110k, DOE

On-Site, M-F

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required:

• →BS/MS in Engineering or other relevant technical degree.
• →Excellent trouble-shooting capability and analytical skills.
• →Ability to set priorities and organizing incoming projects.
• →Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred:

• →Experience using electrical and optical measuring instruments: multimeters, oscilloscopes, IR cameras and microscopes.
• →Experience with radiation detection technologies
• →Experience with proper handling of ESD sensitive parts, including PCB cards.
• →Degree in physics, nuclear engineering, or similar
