Help AG is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Security Engineer with strong expertise in Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data classification, and data discovery technologies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise Data classification and DLP solutions, specifically with Symantec DLP and GEODI platforms.
The candidate will be responsible for protecting sensitive organizational data, implementing data governance controls, managing endpoint and discovery solutions, and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and manage enterprise-level DLP solutions using Symantec DLP.

Implement and maintain GEODI Data Classifier, GEODI Data Discovery, and GEODI End Point Discovery solutions.

Develop and maintain DLP policies for monitoring, detection, and prevention of sensitive data leakage.
- →
Configure and manage endpoint, network, email, cloud, and storage-based DLP controls.
- →
Perform data discovery and classification activities across enterprise environments.
- →
Identify sensitive and regulated data across structured and unstructured repositories.
- →
Analyse DLP incidents, investigate security violations, and recommend remediation actions.
- →
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and compliance teams to strengthen data protection posture.

Fine-tune policies and detection mechanisms to reduce false positives and improve operational efficiency.

Generate operational, compliance, and risk assessment reports for management and audit requirements.

Support incident response activities related to data exfiltration and insider threats.

Perform system upgrades, patch management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for DLP platforms.

Develop documentation including SOPs, architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.

Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry regulations such as GDPR, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS where applicable.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operational teams.

Provide L2/L3 support for DLP and data discovery platforms.

Participate in security incident investigations and root cause analysis.

Support change management, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

Ensure platform availability, performance, and operational stability.

Participate in on-call support and critical incident handling when required.

Requirements
~1 min readBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of experience in Information Security and Data Protection technologies.
Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Symantec DLP Certification, or equivalent will be an advantage.
Relevant cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Symantec DLP
GEODI Data Classifier
GEODI Data Discovery
GEODI End Point Discovery
Experience in deploying and managing endpoint and discovery agents.
Strong understanding of data classification methodologies and data governance principles.
Experience in incident analysis, policy tuning, and troubleshooting DLP solutions.
Good knowledge of Windows environments, file systems, and endpoint security.
Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks related to data classification and protection.
Experience in handling structured and unstructured data repositories.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong ownership and accountability.
Skills in handling technical conflicts, organizational challenges, planning and implementation challenges.
Ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
Team collaboration and stakeholder communication
