Recovery Isn't Just About Getting Stronger. It's About Feeling Like Yourself Again. After a hospitalization, surgery, stroke, fall, or illness, patients often come home to a life that suddenly feels different. Getting dressed takes longer. Making breakfast feels exhausting. Taking a shower requires help. Simple routines they've followed for decades aren't simple anymore. That's where Occupational Therapy becomes incredibly important. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with Home Health Care, Inc., you'll help patients rebuild more than function. You'll help them get back to the routines that make their life feel like theirs again. Make Therapy Personal Every patient has different priorities. One person wants to make their own coffee in the morning. Another wants to shower without their daughter helping. Someone else wants enough coordination to button their own shirt. Those goals may never appear on a highlight reel. But to the person working toward them, they can mean everything. Working from the supervising Occupational Therapist's plan of care, you'll help patients practice the skills they need in the exact environment where they'll use them. What You'll Do Provide one-on-one Occupational Therapy treatments in patients' homes Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising OT Address dressing, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and other ADLs Improve upper-extremity strength, coordination, and functional use Provide therapeutic activities and exercises Reinforce home exercise programs Teach adaptive and compensatory strategies Educate patients and caregivers Reinforce appropriate use of adaptive equipment Monitor progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT Collaborate with PT, nursing, SLP, physicians, and interdisciplinary clinicians Complete timely and accurate documentation Build a Career Around Work That Feels Personal Home health gives you an opportunity to develop relationships with patients while watching their abilities change over time. You're there for the difficult visits. The small improvements. The breakthroughs. And eventually, the moments when patients realize they can do something again that they couldn't do when you first met. You'll also have the independence to manage a field-based workday while remaining connected to experienced Occupational Therapists and Clinical Managers. Strong Work. Strong Earning Potential. This position offers $82,000–$110,000 in annualized earning potential through a paid-per-visit compensation model. You'll also receive mileage reimbursement between patient visits. For an organized, motivated COTA, home health offers the opportunity to combine meaningful patient care with independence and strong earning potential. Why Home Health Care, Inc.? We offer: $82,000–$110,000 annualized earning potential Paid-per-visit compensation Mileage reimbursement Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities One-on-one patient care Greater autonomy throughout your workday Free MedBridge Education Hub Licensure reimbursement Annual scrub reimbursement Cell phone reimbursement for eligible clinicians Medical, dental, and vision benefits for eligible employees Life and disability insurance PTO and paid holidays 401(k) Experienced OT and interdisciplinary clinical support Your COTA Experience Can Come From Anywhere Home health experience is welcomed, but not required. Experience in skilled nursing, TCU, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, assisted living, neurological rehabilitation, or other Occupational Therapy environments can translate well. We're looking for: Active Minnesota Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license Strong understanding of ADLs and functional rehabilitation Excellent patient and caregiver communication Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule Strong collaboration with supervising Occupational Therapists Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Why Home Health Care, Inc.? Our clinicians have the independence to work in the field with experienced OTs, Clinical Managers, and interdisciplinary teammates behind them. Help Patients Get Back to More Than Function. Getting stronger matters. Improving coordination matters. Completing the exercise matters. But sometimes the biggest victory is much simpler: “I did it myself today.” That's the kind of progress you'll help create. $82,000–$110,000 per year (paid per visit). Mileage reimbursement between patient visits. Full-Time or Part-Time. Email Nikky Vogelgesang at nicole.vogelgesang@hhcare.net with your resume and a brief overview of your COTA experience.
