The Legal Assistant will assist the Legal Department with all aspects of their responsibilities including contract management, preparing contracts and documents, and other legal and administrative work. This position will work directly with all members of the Legal Department to perform a variety of duties including coordination of all legal matters for the Legal Department; reviewing, preparing and editing contracts and legal documents; complete responsibility for contract management including the contract database; mailing, faxing, scanning and filing; assisting other administrative assistants and departments as necessary; and assisting with a variety of other network matters.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Coordinate and track all matters being handled by the Legal Department
- →Coordinate office activities and schedules including acting as gatekeeper for Legal Department
- →Manage all company contracts and contract database through entire lifecycle of contracts
- →Help organize Legal Department including filing system, database system and calendar system
- →Provide general administrative support to Legal Department to enhance efficiency & effectiveness
- →Draft correspondence, prepare contracts and other legal documents, and update forms
- →Interact and communicate effectively with internal departments and external agents
- →Assist internal attorneys with multiple and varied legal and compliance matters including research
- →Assist with administrative duties for other departments outside legal
- →Attend meetings and perform additional duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned
Requirements

- 3 - 5 years’ experience as legal assistant or paralegal required especially with contracts
- Strong technology skills to include; software, video conferencing, document databases, etc.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe and other legal software
- Maintain courteous and professional relationships with all internal and external contacts
- Ability to strictly maintain confidentiality of documents and information at all times
- Excellent attention to detail for all work product and strong verbal/written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills in order to meet necessary deadlines
- Self-starter and quick learner that can work independently without constant direct supervision
- Notary Public certification is preferred
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour and will be determined based on skills and experience.
