Application Support Analyst

The opportunity:

A VMWare support professional who can support Vcloud infrastructure for seamless business profess flow for Hitachi energy business

How you'll make an impact:

• Cloud & Virtualization Management: Deploy, configure, and administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and VMware Cloud Director (VCD) infrastructure.

• Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Provide L2/L3 support to resolve escalated operational issues, critical incidents, and performance bottlenecks. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and recurring issues, and support problem and change management activities in accordance with ITIL best practices.

• Tenant & Resource Operations: Manage multi-tenant virtual data centers, organization vApps, catalog services, and self-service provisioning portals via VMware Cloud Director. Handle service requests related to resource allocation, virtual machine provisioning, networking, and access management.

• Maintenance & Lifecycle Management: Perform regular software upgrades, patch updates, and backups/restores for VMware appliances and hosts. Plan and execute maintenance activities while minimizing service disruptions and adhering to change management procedures.

• Collaboration & Documentation: Work with cross-functional network, storage, and security teams to resolve underlying infrastructure issues and maintain accurate system documentation. Ensure timely updates of operational procedures, RCA reports, knowledge articles, and service records to support continuous service improvement.

• Coordinate with Project/Tender Team efficiently Identify the risk and opportunities effectively.

• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• You hold a bachelor's/master’s degree in mechanical /electrical/Electronic/Computer science Engineering with a minimum work experience of 3+ years in any one or combination of the below.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in field of VMware support, VCloud infra support, performing end user support , doing required patch installation, deployments, experience in L2/L3 support on the said technologies

• Microsoft office (Word and Excel).

• Knowledge in any of the cloud infrostructure set up is preferred

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
