Machinist

We are currently seeking an experienced Machinist to join our Regency Park team. In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the production of precision metal parts using equipment such as grinders, milling machines and lathes.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:

• →Operating Large Manual Borer/Vertical Lathe.
• →Plan machining by reading and interpreting drawings and plans.
• →Maintain the required specifications and make adjustments as required.
• →Monitor machine performance and complete preventive maintenance requirements.
• →Schedule maintenance on machines if/when required.
• →Ensure smooth handover between work shifts by communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
• →Willingness to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

• Qualified Fitter & Machinist.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role.
• Ability to operate Lathes / Mills / Vertical Borer.
• Experience machining medium to large components.
• Understanding of Safe Operating Procedures.
• Ability to work with or without supervision.
• Ability to problem solve.
• CNC Knowledge would be an advantage.
