The Quality Manager provides assurance evidence and process discipline across safety, RAM, quality, cybersecurity, HSE or human factors, supporting design maturity, approvals, test readiness, acceptance and operational readiness. Its specific contribution is to maintain quality plan, audits, NCR/8D closure, process compliance and quality reporting.

• →Define the Project quality plan, audit schedule, inspection strategy, ITP expectations, NCR workflow and quality reporting.
• → Ensure engineering, procurement, suppliers, site teams and T&C teams follow approved processes and produce complete quality evidence.
• →Lead quality audits, supplier surveillance, gate reviews, root-cause reviews and quality improvement actions.
• →Manage customer quality issues, concessions, corrective/preventive actions and quality risks.
• →Coordinate quality readiness for FAT, SAT, installation completion, commissioning packs and final handover dossiers.
• →Apply the Hitachi Code of Conduct in role-specific decisions, including ethical escalation, anti-bribery discipline, confidentiality, data protection, fair supplier/customer conduct and transparent records.
• →Maintain quality plan, audits, NCR/8D closure, process compliance and quality reporting.
• →Functional authority over QA/QC system, audits and non-conformity closure discipline.
• →Can escalate systemic quality failures.

• Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Manager, Implementation Manager, IVVQ Manager and T&C Manager.
• Quality Engineer, suppliers/subcontractors, customer quality representatives and document control.
• Safety, RAM and Cybersecurity teams where quality evidence supports assurance arguments.
• All managers, especially Engineering, Construction, T&C, RAM and Safety.
• Client’s QA counterpart.
• Monthly quality meetings.
• Readiness/gate reviews.

• Accountable for quality management system implementation and quality evidence Governance.
• Authorised to raise NCRs, require corrective actions, schedule audits and recommend hold points for non-conforming outputs.
• May escalate supplier or Project quality failures to Project Manager and Supply Chain/Procurement leadership.

• Ensure the delivered railway systems and Project records comply with contractual, regulatory and Hitachi quality expectations.

• Quality management experience in rail, infrastructure, manufacturing, systems integration or regulated engineering.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001-style systems, audits, ITPs, NCRs, supplier quality and handover evidence.
• Ability to drive prevention, not only inspection.
• Resilience and resistance to stress during audits, customer NCRs, supplier defects and handover pressure.
• Independence, precision and continuous-improvement mindset.
• More than 7 years in QA/QC on complex infrastructure Projects.
• ISO 9001 or equivalent preferred.
