Are you passionate about quality, leadership, and continuous improvement? Would you like to play a key role in ensuring that only high-quality materials enter our switchgear factories for High Voltage Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB)?

As Team Leader Incoming Quality Control (IQC), you will lead a team of quality professionals and help shape our incoming inspection processes. Working closely with operations, supply chain management, suppliers, and customers, you will help ensure quality from the very beginning of the value chain.

At Hitachi Energy, we support your professional and personal growth through flexible work practices, continuous learning opportunities, and career development. Join us and help strengthen our culture of quality.

In this role, you will mainly:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15-20 IQC professionals while driving the operational and strategic development of the function.

  • Act as site responsible and ensure adherence to the relevant standards.

  • Serve as the main contact for urgent quality issues and ensure fast, effective communication with operations, suppliers, and customers.

  • Develop,  and improve inspection plans for incoming materials.

  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement by using data, KPIs, and visual management tools.

  • Build strong relationships across the organization and strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and support quality professionals while ensuring effective succession planning.

  • Ensure that measurement equipment is maintained, calibrated, and available for reliable inspection activities.

  • Drive improvement initiatives together with production, logistics, R&D, sourcing, and other functions to achieve sustainable quality improvements.

To be successful in this role, you bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • More than five years of experience in quality management, project management, program management, or similar functions.

  • Leadership experience or a strong interest in leading and developing people.

  • Experience in quality management, manufacturing operations, lean principles, continuous improvement, and visual management.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.

  • Good knowledge of SAP, ideally in an SAP S/4HANA environment.

We believe great work thrives in an environment where people feel genuinely supported and fairly rewarded. Our benefits are designed to create real value for every individual – fueling engagement, performance, and growth. By prioritizing well‑being, we build a workplace where personal and organizational success grow together.
