Trades Assistant

H-E Parts Engineering are part of the H-E Parts International group, which is in turn a division of Hitachi.  We provide machining services for Mining, Maritime, Oil and Gas and a variety of other commercial customers. Over the last 30 years, we have built a reputation of a consistently high level of service. Due to our growth and our recent purchase of a state-of-the-art workshop and new CNC Lathes and Milling machines, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Trades Assistant to join our Naval Base workshop .

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Forklift Driving
• Conduct general workshop/yard cleanliness, tidiness, and litter management
• Comply with instructions from supervision team.
• Maintain general tidiness in work area.
• Maintain proper time keeping practices

The successful applicant will be team oriented and capable with the following attributes:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Mature attitude and self-motivation
• Ability to take direction and work well under pressure
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• A commitment to delivering a high standard of work

• Hold a current class C driver’s license
• Hold a current forklift licence
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role, ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Be able to use pallet jacks and trolleys and restock shelves
• Be available to work Saturdays and overtime as required
