Plumbing Service Technician

• →Identify required tools and special equipment; select the type and size of pipe required.
• →Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
• →Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment
• →Assemble and install valves and fittings; install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls, underground storm sanitary and water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, conditioners, plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim
• →Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
• →Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures
• →Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, graded, and meet the requirements of the appropriate codes
• →Communicate with customers in a clear, confident manner throughout the entire service so that they are aware of what is going on inside their home/business
• →Work safely and help ensure that those you work with are working in a safe manner
• →Operate drain cleaning and clearing equipment; perform jetting and milling when required
• →Operate or assist on jobs requiring excavation; trenching, and hand-digging when required
• →Perform or assist on partial and full repipes

• Candidate must have a minimum of 3+ years of residential and/or commercial experience, a combination of install and service
• Able to pass a background and MVR, drug & background check; CDL not required

To adequately perform the duties of this job, the employee is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop hands to finger, handle controls; hear, and talk. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50lbs and up. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons. The work environment will subject employees to continual interruptions and changing priorities. Effective, consistent, and constant communication with customers, vendors, co-workers, and others is required.
