Category Manager over Beverages- Draper

Job Purpose

Responsible for delivering growth, evaluating selection decisions, handling brand relationships, improving customer experience and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

• →Oversees merchandising and sales strategies for assigned categories.
• →Coordinates with vendors and other departments to identify market and sales trends to address customer and client needs.
• →Analyzes data and/or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
• →Devises long term development strategies for across product categories.
• →Develops exit strategies for unsuccessful or obsolete products.
• →Fosters trust with vendors and internal teams to achieve best pricing and quality of services
• →Orders effectively to ensure product availability meets consumer demands.
• →Determines positioning of product categories to maximize visibility.
• →Collaborates with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities across relevant categories.
• →Collaborates with category managers to expand product categories.
• →Forecasts for product demand to ensure sustainability of inventory.
• →Responsible for budget development and revenue for assigned category/categories.

• Proven experience as category manager or experience in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles.
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods/tools.
• Proficient in MS Office with emphasis in spreadsheets.
• Must have strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• BS/BA in business administration, marketing, or related field.
• Competent using Tecsys Software.
• Experience with product fulfilment.
• Ability to understand and focus on customer needs in a retail environment.
