Director Product and Engineering

**This position is for engineering disciplines that focus on mechanical, electrical, chemical, process, or manufacturing engineering profiles. This position DOES NOT focus on IT, System Engineering, or Software related projects.

The Director of Product & Engineering is responsible of framing and driving strategic Product and Engineering projects to support the growth of Private Brands. The Director also leads category level New Product Development opportunities and effectively leverages his/her team to support Merchandising and Product development.

• →30% Growth - Develop and grow NPD category wide solutions by effectively apply Industrial and Design engineering resources working together with Product Development Merchants
• →20% Leadership - Coach and develop by upgrading talent, develop associates and prepare the organization for growth
• →20% Operations - Oversee and prioritize the development of Value Engineering Costing Models, Value Add and NPD work
• →30% Strategy - Develop, coordinate and operationalized strategies to increase Product and Engineering support to enable PB growth

• This Position typically reports to VP Product and Engineering
• This Position has 5 Direct Reports

• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
