As a Fraternal Training Development Specialist, you will design and deliver innovative training programs that strengthen capabilities, support community-building initiatives, and align teams around organizational priorities. Partnering with field and home office stakeholders, you will leverage your expertise in adult learning, instructional design, and facilitation to identify learning needs, develop effective solutions, and foster continuous improvement. Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Training design and curriculum development
- →Develop and maintain standardized, scalable training programs, resources and learning experience for chapter leaders and key audiences. Create multimodal solutions, guides, playbooks and digital content that support consistent delivery while allowing flexibility for local needs.
- →Training support for field-based team
- →Partner with field-based colleagues to identify needs, develop turnkey training materials and equip team members to deliver training consistently. Review team-developed resources for clarity, effectiveness, alignment with organizational priorities and instructional design best practices.
- →Chapter leader training and onboarding
- →Design, coordinate and facilitate onboarding and development programs for chapter leaders. Deliver virtual or in-person training that strengthens leadership capability and supports successful execution of fraternal programs and initiatives.
- →Regional and conference training
- →Develop and facilitate training, presentations and workshops for regional needs, national conferences and other learning events. Apply adult learning principles and engagement techniques for audiences of varying sizes.
- →Training effectiveness and continuous improvement
- →Measure training effectiveness through feedback, outcomes, and performance indicators, and recommend improvements. Stay current on instructional design trends, adult learning best practices, artificial intelligence and emerging training technologies.
- →Collaboration and partnership
- →Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to identify needs, gather feedback and ensure training solutions remain relevant, effective and aligned with organizational priorities.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or related field required.
- Minimum of three years related experience in training, learning and development, instructional design, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training facilitation techniques.
- Proficiency with training technologies, virtual learning platforms, presentation tools, and methods for measuring learning effectiveness.
- Experience developing curricula, learning resources, and multimodal learning solutions for diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
- Creative problem-solver with sound judgment and the ability to identify learning needs and develop effective solutions.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences that drives results.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight travel (approximately 10-15%)
- Valid driver’s license required.
