About the Role
~1 min readHorizon3.ai is building a Strategy & Programs function within Revenue Operations to help the organization successfully execute its highest-priority cross-functional initiatives as we continue to scale.
We are looking for a RevOps Program Manager to lead complex initiatives that span Revenue Operations and the broader business. This role will partner closely with teams including Sales Operations, Systems Operations, Deal Desk, Customer Operations, Partner Operations, Finance, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
This is not a traditional IT Project Manager role, nor is it a project coordinator position. The ideal candidate combines strong program management discipline with business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to create structure in ambiguous environments.
You will be responsible for turning strategic priorities into executable plans, aligning stakeholders around decisions and outcomes, identifying and managing risks and dependencies, and driving initiatives from definition through implementation.
As an early member of the Strategy & Programs team, you will also have the opportunity to help establish how project management operates within Revenue Operations as the function grows.
Responsibilities
~1 min readLead moderately complex, cross-functional initiatives from initial scoping through implementation and closeout with little to no day-to-day direction.
Translate strategic priorities and business objectives into clear project plans, milestones, workstreams, dependencies, and success measures.
Establish appropriate project governance, operating cadences, decision-making structures, and stakeholder engagement models.
Manage multiple concurrent initiatives across different areas of the Revenue Operations organization.
Maintain accountability across project teams while recognizing that functional leaders and subject-matter experts retain ownership of functional decisions and outcomes.
Coordinate work across Revenue Operations functions including Sales Operations, Systems Operations, Deal Desk, Customer Operations, and Partner Operations, as well as teams across the broader organization.
Facilitate effective working sessions, project meetings, leadership reviews, and decision-making forums.
Proactively identify dependencies, risks, blockers, and competing priorities and drive them toward resolution.
Establish clear owners, decisions, and next steps across project workstreams.
Escalate issues appropriately when additional leadership direction or decision-making is required.
Build alignment across teams with different priorities, perspectives, and areas of expertise.
Maintain project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
Develop concise, executive-ready project updates that communicate progress, risks, decisions required, and overall project health.
Ensure leadership has appropriate visibility into strategic initiatives without creating unnecessary administrative overhead.
Support portfolio-level visibility across active Strategy & Programs initiatives.
Help establish repeatable project management standards, templates, and governance practices for the organization.
Projects may include initiatives such as:
Sales process and operating model changes
Territory, segmentation, and coverage initiatives
Pricing and packaging rollouts
Partner and channel program launches
Customer lifecycle improvements
Quote-to-Cash transformation
Revenue technology implementations
CRM and GTM systems initiatives
Systems integrations and automation
New GTM motions and commercialization programs
Data and reporting initiatives
Process redesign and operational scalability initiatives
The specific portfolio will evolve based on business priorities. Program Managers are expected to operate across both business-oriented and technology-enabled initiatives rather than being permanently assigned to a single Revenue Operations function.
5+ years of project, program, business operations, Revenue Operations, or related experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage moderately complex projects from scoping through implementation.
Experience working in a high-growth SaaS, technology, or similarly fast-paced environment.
Strong project planning, organization, prioritization, and risk-management skills.
Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar business processes and operating models.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence rather than formal authority.
Experience coordinating stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of an organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating project status, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders.
Ability to identify problems, evaluate tradeoffs, exercise sound judgment, and drive teams toward practical solutions.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating structure where processes or requirements may not yet be fully defined.
Ability to balance project management rigor with the speed and pragmatism required in a high-growth environment.
We expect successful candidates to come from a variety of backgrounds. Experience in one or more of the following areas is valuable:
Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Customer Operations, Partner Operations, Deal Desk, or Business Operations
Cross-functional GTM initiatives or commercial transformation
Business systems or revenue technology implementations
CRM, CPQ, CLM, ERP, or other enterprise technology programs
Product or Engineering partnership
Process improvement and operating model design
Change management and organizational transformation
Data, analytics, or data governance initiatives
Successful Program Managers within Strategy & Programs:
Turn ambiguous business priorities into clear, executable plans.
Create accountability without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
Anticipate risks and dependencies rather than simply reporting them after they occur.
Drive timely decisions and maintain momentum across cross-functional teams.
Build trust with both business and technical stakeholders.
Give leaders clear visibility into project health, tradeoffs, and decisions required.
Help initiatives achieve their intended business outcomes while ensuring sustainable transition to the appropriate functional owners.
Continuously improve how Revenue Operations plans and delivers complex initiatives.
You are highly organized without being overly process-driven. You are comfortable walking into an initiative where not everything has been figured out yet and helping the team establish a path forward.
You ask good questions, learn unfamiliar areas quickly, and understand when to facilitate, when to challenge, and when to escalate. You are equally comfortable working with detailed project teams and communicating with senior leadership.
Most importantly, you view program management as more than maintaining timelines and scheduling meetings. You see the role as helping teams turn complex business decisions into coordinated, measurable execution.
