$23.50 - $31.00/per hour depending on experience
The Senior Event & Volunteer Coordinator works with the Special Events Manager and Foundation leadership in implementing a comprehensive special events program while also serving as lead in recruiting and managing a team of volunteers for special event needs.
Responsibilities
~1 min readServe as the primary point of contact for special event volunteers, providing clear, timely, and consistent communication before, during, and after each event, including role assignments, shift details, updates, and thank-yous.
Recruit, engage, and steward the special event volunteer team, building lasting relationships that keep volunteers informed, motivated, and connected to our mission.
Develop and manage volunteer communication channels and materials, such as email updates, sign-up tools, event-day instructions, and follow-up messages.
Partner with the Director of Development and the Volunteer Services Manager to identify ways to deepen volunteer engagement while cultivating and stewarding donors within the volunteer community.
Play a vital planning role for four major events: Bouquet Sale, Memorial Walk, Harvest Fest, and Light-A-Life.
Follow event work plans and support on-site production and logistics for each major event.
Oversee event software and online platforms as needed, including One Cause online auction and website creation, event fundraising platforms, and similar tools.
Assist in managing the Hospice Helpers program, including strategies to recruit, retain, and recognize third-party fundraisers.
Support relationships with event committees and vendors as needed.
Maintain accurate records in Raiser's Edge, documenting interactions and activity for donors (corporate and individual) and volunteers.
