Description -
This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the software quality assurance process within the organization or a video collaboration project. This is a hands on role that involves setting quality standards, defining testing strategy, leading QA team, executing the test plan, helping with test automation and ensuring that software products meet the highest levels of quality and reliability. The role works closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to drive continuous improvement in the software development and testing processes.
*Onside in Ft Collins 5-days a week
Responsibilities
• Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and implementing quality assurance and test processes and coordinating projects for end-user video conferencing application, systems software, running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet-based platforms.
• Defines QA processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent and effective testing across projects.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Evaluates and improves QA processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and automation of testing activities.
• Perform Functional and Solution Testing of Video/Collaboration Software
• Additionally, codes and programs test scripts, automation, and integration activities based on specific test requirements.
• Conducts functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to validate software functionality.
• Automates testing processes using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and repeatability.
• Monitors and enforces adherence to established coding standards, design guidelines, and best practices.
• Monitors software performance and conducts load and stress testing to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.
• Prepares and maintains QA-related documentation, including test plans, test matrices, and testing reports.
• Communicates QA progress, results, and challenges to leadership, project teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborates with external vendors and partners to ensure the quality of outsourced or third-party software components.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development.
• Ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.
• Work from Office in Fort Collins, Colorado
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience, preferably in software quality assurance, test harnesses and QA focused tools, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
