About the Role
A leading organization in a highly regulated industry is seeking an accomplished Vice President – Commercial Marketing to lead enterprise-wide marketing strategies that accelerate customer growth, strengthen brand leadership, and drive commercial performance.
As a key member of the leadership team, this executive will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that support business growth, enhance customer engagement, and maximize market opportunities. The role will oversee brand management, product marketing, digital marketing, customer acquisition, go-to-market execution, customer lifecycle management, and marketing analytics while partnering closely with Commercial, Sales, Product, Customer Experience, and Digital teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall commercial marketing strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives and revenue targets.
- Lead integrated marketing initiatives across brand, digital, product, customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, and lifecycle marketing.
- Drive customer growth through innovative marketing programs, data-driven campaigns, and strategic market positioning.
- Partner with Commercial, Sales, Product, and Customer Experience teams to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies.
- Oversee brand strategy, market segmentation, pricing support, product commercialization, and campaign management.
- Utilize market research, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and strengthen market leadership.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across marketing technology, CRM, automation, and performance marketing.
- Manage marketing investments, agency relationships, media planning, and campaign performance to maximize return on investment.
- Monitor key performance indicators and marketing analytics to optimize customer engagement and business results.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing organization while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Ensure marketing initiatives comply with corporate governance standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
- Proven experience leading commercial marketing, consumer marketing, or growth marketing within large consumer-focused organizations.
- Strong expertise in brand management, product marketing, digital marketing, CRM, customer acquisition, media planning, and integrated marketing communications.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive customer growth, revenue, and market share.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience translating customer insights and analytics into business strategies.
- Experience managing large marketing budgets, agency partnerships, and cross-functional executive teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and strategic decision-making skills.
